Glad
Gladiolus, Glad for short, loves his big, curly hair. It makes him feel the most like himself. When a haircut doesn't go the way he hoped, Glad learns that a big feeling is something he has, not something he is, and that he is still Glad, whatever his hair is doing.
Glad
A little blue monster with magnificent curls, learning about change, feelings, and expressing his needs.
Named for the flower: Gladiolus (Gladiolus).

Flower facts
- The name gladiolus comes from the Latin word for “sword,” because its long, pointed leaves look like little swords.
- The flowers on each tall stem open from the bottom up, one after another.
- Most wild gladiolus come from Africa, especially South Africa. They grow from a round underground part called a corm.
